Accord

A blended combination of notes that reads as a single scent impression.

An accord is the perfumer's equivalent of a musical chord: several materials combined so the listener (smeller) perceives one new thing rather than the components. 'Powdery,' 'fougère,' 'gourmand,' and 'chypre' are all accord descriptions.
