GLOSSARY
Flanker
A new release that extends an existing fragrance line, often with a tweaked composition.
Flankers leverage the brand recognition of a successful fragrance — for example, Bleu de Chanel EDP and Parfum flank the original EDT. Flankers can be reformulations, intensifications, seasonal variants, or fully new compositions wearing a familiar name. Reviewer opinion on flankers varies wildly.
