Chanel's in-house perfumer from 1978 until 2015 (succeeded by his son Olivier), Jacques Polge authored a generation of Chanel masculines and supervised the houses' signature compositions. His work on Bleu de Chanel set a template for polished, near-universally wearable luxury masculines.
